John Dame

I received a B.S. in marketing from Pennsylvania State University in 1974 and pursued a career in radio broadcasting for 32 years. I leverage my time spent in broadcasting as a rich learning platform for my evolution as a business strategist, executive coach and author.

My reputation for insightful evaluation, planning, and a passion for driving results has grown my involvement with companies and organizations worldwide. My fine-tuned understanding of the risks, challenges, and opportunities facing both seasoned and emerging CEOs allows me to specialize in executive team coaching and strategic planning. My approach to strategic planning is simple and allows an organization to quickly execute better and drive results. I offer a step-by-step guide of my process in my book, Fast Track Strategic Planning. I am affiliated with Vistage Worldwide, the world's largest CEO membership organization as a Group Chair. Vistage comprises 24,000 members in many countries with members generating nearly $300 billion in annual revenue and employing more than 2.1 million people. My clients produce $5 billion in annual revenue and employ over 5,000 people. In 2017, I conducted more than 600 CEO one-on-one meetings.

More recently, my focus turned toward the role of purpose in the business environment and the new challenge of transitioning to a millennial-based workforce. In 2015, I introduced an annual business conference Evolution Leadership Conference, a gathering of speakers and business leaders interested in the exploration and implementation of new styles of purpose-driven leadership. Each year the conference draws more than 200 CEOs and executives looking to align with the concept of Purpose in their organizations.

Specialties: Vistage Executive Peer Groups, Strategic Planning, JD Leadership Academies, Executive Coaching and Evolution Leadership Conferences.

My wife, Emily, and I are the parents of three sons and have five grandsons and four granddaughters. I'm active with my church and also work with non-profit organizations in the Harrisburg area.
