As part of your undergraduate application, you can apply for two programs. Check the admission requirements for both. If you receive an offer to your first choice, this is the only offer you will receive. We recommend you rank your choices with your most desired program as your first choice. Choose a program with a lower competitive admission average as your second choice.

A first-year undergraduate student will complete a Bachelor's degree which consists of 40 courses (120 units) and will take four years to complete. Apply for scholarships and awards

The University of Calgary offers $17 million in scholarships, awards, and bursaries. We also have dedicated awards for international studentls such as the International Entrance Award valued at $20,000. Students must first apply for admission but do not need to receive their offer of admission to apply for awards.

Live on campus

UCalgary has a variety of on-campus housing options for you to live in while you study with us. High school applicants who apply for residence by May 1 are guaranteed a home on campus for two years. You can apply for residence before you receive an offer of admission.

English Preparation Program

All students at UCalgary must meet our English Language Proficiency requirements. If you need help improving your English proficiency prior to applying to UCalgary, the Academic Communication Certificate (ACC) is the program for you! If you apply for undergraduate admission and complete the ACC through UCalgary Continuing Education by the end of the summer term in the year of application, you could be considered for conditional admission to a degree program.
